Thank you for bringing in the protein bars Denise!
Save money and make your own protein bars. These are easy to make and easy to make your favorite substitutions. Instead of peanut butter, use almond butter. Use cranberries instead of raisins! Melt in a saucepan until smooth:
- 1 cup honey
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup oats
- 1 cup nuts (slivered or chopped almonds or walnuts are good)
- 1 cup dried fruit, chopped into small pieces (cranberries, dates, raisins, apricots)
- 1 cup protein powder (vanilla, chocolate, mocha – they are all good)
Spread mixture in a 9×9 pan and chill.
Cut into bars.
