My Boston Fern looks pitiful. I know that the time of year is a factor, with the lack of light, and the dry air from the heat, but my fern is barely alive. Just look at the poor miserable thing! I’ve been misting it with water, and placing it in different areas of the house. It just gets worse. I don’t know whether I should just put it out of its misery, or try to revive it.
My locker room advice from swimmer Susan is to put it on a big tray of pebbles with water. The water from the tray will provide humidity to the fern without being absorbed into the pot and drowning the plant.
